Principal:

Dear Preschool Families,

There’s been a lot of excitement in Preschool lately! Students continued to learn through exploration during their classroom studies. Some classes continue to learn about trees and leaves, and the different kinds of animals that nest in them. Other classes explored all about balls—discovering which ones bounce and which ones roll. Teachers also got creative by infusing fun fall-themed activities into their lessons. Students enjoyed projects like adding their creative touch to a pumpkin or contributing to a collaborative class painting.

Yesterday, we had beautiful weather to hold our Fall Parade outside!  It was great seeing all the kids and staff dressed up in their costumes.  Thank you so much to all our Preschool parents, grandparents and special guests for attending our parade.  We were so happy you were able to join us.

Following the parade, all classes celebrated with their Fall Parties inside the classroom. A big thank you to our parents and room parents for all your help organizing and facilitating these celebrations. We truly appreciate the time and effort you put into making the day special for our students.

As Halloween approaches, for those heading out to trick-or-treat, please remember to stay on sidewalks when available, carry a flashlight so vehicles can see you, and most importantly—be safe and have fun!

Reminders:
  • Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend! Before you go to bed on Saturday night, remember to set your clocks back one hour. Enjoy that extra hour of rest!
  • Fall Break begins on Monday, November 2nd. We hope everyone enjoys this time with family, making memories together. School will reopen on Monday, November 9th.
  • Picture Make-Up Days:
Bargaintown students – Thursday,  November 19th
Slaybaugh Primary students – Tuesday, December 1st

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you,
Joe Marinelli

Learning About Health and Caring Hands

Last week, Ms. Sunnie and Ms. Megan’s class had a special visit from Nurse Presti. Nora and Ronan’s mom taught us about germs and how to wash them off with a special cream and a black light. We also practiced using a stethoscope and caring for our patient, Mickey Mouse! She left us with a special nurse Barbie so we can keep practicing our new skills. We are so grateful!

Super Friends

We want to recognize Ms. Bernadette's Super Friends at the High School!  Students are encouraged to show friendship skills by sharing, using kind words, and being helpful. If the teacher selects them as a Super Friend, they get to wear a superhero cape, have their picture taken, and earn the admiration of their peers.

Unleashing Creativity with Every Carved Design!
