World Teachers Day

Monday, October 5th is, World Teachers’ Day I want to take a moment to publicly and sincerely thank our amazing teachers for the incredible work they do each and everyday.

Preschool Teaching is so much more than activities, it’s truly guiding the learning through play and interactions. It’s building relationships, creating a sense of belonging, celebrating the small milestones, comforting a child who is having a difficult day, encouraging a child to try something new, and helping the students understand and discover that they are capable of so much.

They are always going above and beyond, the extra time they give, the countless conversations you have, the thoughtful decisions you make, and the care you show our students and their families. I am incredibly grateful for the professionalism and heart they bring to our preschool program and feel I am blessed to work with this staff each and everyday.

Thank you for showing up each day and giving our students your best. Thank you for believing in them, and helping them grow. Most importantly, thank you for being the kind of teachers our little ones will always remember—not only for what you taught them, but for how you made them feel.

Happy World Teachers’ Day! Please know how much you are appreciated and how proud I am to work alongside such a dedicated group of educators.
With sincere appreciation,
Joe John & Kat

Principal:

Dear Preschool Families,

It’s hard to believe that October has already arrived! Thursday marked the first day of a new month, and we are excited for all that the fall season has in store. September was a successful and exciting start to our school year, and we are so proud of how well our students have settled into their preschool routines.

Our Pumpkin Patch trips to R & J Farm begin next week, and we are thrilled to share this special fall tradition with our students! Each child will enjoy a fun-filled hayride out to the fields and have the opportunity to pick their very own special pumpkin. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season and create lasting memories with our preschoolers!

Farm Address: 723 W. Herschel Street, Galloway Township
Trip Details: Departing school at 10:15 AM and returning by approximately 1:30 PM
Important Reminders:
  • All students must ride the bus to and from the farm.
  • If a parent chooses to drive their child to the farm instead, the student will be marked absent for the school day, and the parent will be responsible for paying the child’s admission fee.
  • Parents are welcome to meet us at the farm but must pay their own admission upon arrival.
  • If you sign your child out from the field trip, your child will not receive credit for a full day of attendance. A full school day requires at least four hours of attendance

This week, we also had a wonderful time promoting literacy during our Slaybaugh Primary Scholastic Book Fair. Thank you to all of the parents and guests who joined us to browse and select special books to enjoy with your children. Your continued support of literacy and our preschool program means so much to us!
Bargaintown’s Scholastic Book Fair will take place just after Thanksgiving, during the week of November 30th.

Below is a copy of the Fall Parade and
Building-Wide Classroom Party letter that was previously emailed to families. Please take a moment to review it, as the scheduled dates for our Fall, Winter, and Spring building-wide celebrations are listed at the bottom of the letter to assist you with your planning.
As a friendly reminder, all school-wide celebrations are limited to five designated adults per student, plus the two room parents. Unfortunately, no additional family members will be permitted to attend.
If you need another copy of the letter or would like to complete the bottom portion again, please reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher.

We are looking forward to a festive and fun-filled fall season! Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support of our preschool program.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful weekend

Warm regards,
Joe Marinelli
Principal

Calling all Firefighters!

In preparation for Fire Safety Week, Miss Amy and Miss Kacey's classes joined together for a visit from Miss Kacey's brother, a firefighter. He spoke to their classes about fire safety and taught them about the special parts of a firefighter's uniform. Their uniforms are so heavy! We even got to try them on!

Rainy days won't stop our fun!

Even when it rains outside, our students stay active. Today, they practiced gross motor skills, rhythm, and creative movement during indoor activity time.
