EHT Preschool

Week of September 6, 2026

Principal:

Dear Preschool Families,
What an exciting week it has been! It has been wonderful to see our students arrive each day with growing confidence as they become more comfortable with their routines, teachers, classmates, and classrooms. Our dedicated preschool staff has been working hard to build meaningful relationships with each child and create a welcoming environment where every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Today, we honored Patriot Day by wearing red, white, and blue to show our love and appreciation for our country. Throughout the day, our students participated in age-appropriate activities and listened to stories that helped them learn about the meaning of this important day. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce our youngest learners to the values of unity, respect, and remembrance.
Yesterday, we also conducted our first fire drill of the school year. We are extremely proud of our preschoolers! They did an outstanding job listening to their teachers, following directions, and safely exiting the building. Great job, preschoolers!

Back to School Night – Wednesday, September 16, 2026
We are excited to welcome our preschool families in person for Back to School Night. Please see the schedule below for your child's school and classroom time:
  • Preschool at EHT High School – 5:00 p.m.
  • Slaybaugh Primary School Preschool – 6:00 p.m.
  • Bargaintown Preschool – Two Sessions:
  • 5:15 p.m. – Second Floor Classrooms: Kern, Kissinger, Mason, Mays, Ohlsen, Pugliese, Ruiz, and Tavarez
  • 6:30 p.m. – First Floor Classrooms: Abrams, Batten, Bretz, Carr, Chism, Heinicke, Loreaux, and Pileggi

Please report directly to your child's classroom. The evening will begin with a brief administrative welcome video, followed by a presentation from your child's teacher highlighting classroom routines, expectations, and what you can look forward to throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
We sincerely appreciate your flexibility with the staggered times at Bargaintown Preschool. This schedule has been created to help alleviate parking concerns and ensure a smooth and enjoyable evening for all of our families.
A friendly reminder that Back to School Night is intended to provide a general overview of your child's classroom experience and daily routines. It is not intended for individual parent-teacher conferences. If you have specific questions or concerns regarding your child, please contact your child's teacher to arrange a separate time to meet.

On behalf of the entire Preschool Program, thank you for your continued support as we begin what we know will be a wonderful school year. We hope you and your family have a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable weekend!

Warm regards,
 Joe Marinelli
