Dear Preschool Families,
I hope this first edition of our weekly newsletter finds you well and refreshed after a joyful summer filled with lasting memories. It's hard to believe the first day of school is already here, and the energy and excitement filling our hallways is truly inspiring!
Over the past few weeks, our dedicated custodial team has worked tirelessly to prepare our buildings, and we are incredibly thankful for their efforts. Our amazing staff has also been hard at work setting up their classrooms and preparing for our orientation meet-and-greet. We are ready to welcome your children into a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
To our returning families—welcome back! We’re thrilled to continue this journey with you. To our new families—welcome to the Early Childhood Program here in Egg Harbor Township. We’re so glad you’ve joined our community and look forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the year.
Our mission remains unchanged: To Embrace, Engage, and Educate. The Egg Harbor Township School District is committed to embracing families and students by providing a safe, rigorous, and relevant learning experience where students are engaged and empowered to take ownership of their learning.
We will continue to use our S.O.A.R. framework—Safety, Ownership, Accountability, and Respect—to create a consistent and supportive environment across all classrooms. This common language helps build structure and community in age-appropriate ways. (Insert S.O.A.R. chart here.)
We’re also excited to introduce our new district-wide EHT Wings program, designed to enhance our culture and recognize students for both small and large accomplishments. This year’s theme is: Preschool Rocks.
We can’t wait to see how our preschoolers shine as they rock out this year!
In addition, we are pleased to offer Universal Breakfast for all students. This means any student enrolled in EHT schools can receive breakfast at school free of charge. Universal Breakfast begins on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Please communicate with your child’s teacher if you would like your child to participate.
