Principal:

Dear Preschool Families,

It’s hard to believe there are only 15 days left in the school year! As we approach the finish line, our students have been enjoying a variety of fun and engaging activities to celebrate a wonderful year of learning and growth.

This week, our students transitioning to kindergarten next year had the opportunity to visit either Swift School (visits to Davenport will take place on June 8 and 9). During their trip, students visited a kindergarten classroom, participated in a fun activity, and toured the school building. The excitement was contagious, and it was heartwarming to see our little learners so eager and ready for this next step in their educational journey.

Yesterday and today, our preschoolers also enjoyed their much-anticipated Fun Day! A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Parents Club, Katie Lind, our dedicated staff, and all of the wonderful parent volunteers who helped make the event such a success. Thanks to your efforts, the days were filled with smiles, laughter, and special memories for our students.

As we look ahead, we will begin our end-of-year celebrations. These special events provide an opportunity for teachers to recognize the tremendous learning, growth, and accomplishments that have taken place throughout the year. While these celebrations are not preschool graduations—since many students will return in the fall or move on to kindergarten—they are a meaningful way to reflect on a fantastic year together.

To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly ask that attendance be limited to two adults per child and that no siblings or children under 18 attend the events. If you plan to bring food, please check with your child’s teacher in advance to ensure all items meet our allergy-safe guidelines.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership throughout the school year. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with your children each day and look forward to making these final weeks as joyful and memorable as the rest of the year has been.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Joe Marinelli
Principal

Student Achievement

This week, Ms. Jenn & Ms. Brooke’s class did a mini study on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. After reading Sam Helps Recycle, we learned that one person creates about 28 pounds of trash each week and used a scale to explore what 28 pounds feels like.
