Principal:

Dear Preschool Families,

Welcome to this week’s Preschool Newsletter!

I am so excited to share with you some of the wonderful things our students have been up to this week. Their STEM problem-solving skills were on full display as they worked together to create the perfect trap to catch the St. Patrick’s Day leprechaun! They also had fun learning about different exercises and healthy treats, which tied in perfectly with a focus on wellness. In preparation for the arrival of spring, the children enjoyed reading a seasonal story and created colorful art projects that brought a touch of springtime indoors.

March has been roaring like a lion with some windy days, I’m happy to see the days getting longer and the sun setting later, allowing us to enjoy more outdoor activities in the evenings. I am happy to welcome the first day of spring today.

A couple of other important reminders:
Our Spring Classroom Parties are just around the corner on Friday, March 27. A copy of the letter is included below for your reference. Please note that there is one letter for Bargaintown School and a separate letter for Slaybaugh Primary School. Please see below for a copy of the letter that went out.
Room Parents are welcome to arrive 30 minutes early to assist with set-up; however, please be sure to coordinate with the classroom teacher in advance. A few friendly reminders for parents who were selected to help with the classroom parties:
  • For safety and security, please enter and exit the building only through the main entrance.
  • No siblings, children under the age of 18, or additional family members may attend.
  • Please adhere to the allergy-safe snack list provided below.
  • Treat bags should contain non-food items only. Due to the young age of our students, it is safest to keep treat bags free of food or candy items.
Hope you all have a wonderful relaxing weekend!
Warm regards,
Joe Marinelli
Principal

Supporting Our Furry Friends

Ms. Milstead and Ms. Appiah’s class collected pet items to donate to the Atlantic County SPCA. As part of our pet study, we learned about various types of pets and the responsibilities associated with caring for them. Through this experience, we discovered the importance of providing love, attention, and proper care to our animal friends. Our donation project helped us understand the value of kindness and community service, while also supporting pets in need.
